Preparation for vertical tongue piercing
Before the procedure:

Vertical tongue piercing procedure
Upon arrival at the studio, you will fill out the "Consent to the procedure", which, among other things, will contain contraindications before vertical tongue piercing and its subsequent care. The absence of contraindications and compliance with the care procedure recommended by us is one of the important conditions for successful healing of the piercing.
Next follows a conversation with the piercer. You will discuss the appropriate placement and jewelry for the vertical tongue piercing, which we will place immediately and possibly which you will wear afterward.
Piercer prepares a workplace. The selected jewelry for vertical tongue piercing together with the needle will be sterilized for approx. 10 min. During that time, you will have the opportunity to ask anything and specify the necessary information.
After sterilization, the piercer will indicate the final injection site for the vertical tongue piercing, disinfect the skin, and within a few seconds you will have a new vertical tongue piercing.
After the piercing, the piercer will treat the vertical tongue piercing, take a picture of it, if you agree, apply a patch and once again explain the care of the vertical tongue piercing.

The process of complete healing of a tongue piercing usually takes from 1 to 2 months, sometimes longer. Complete healing means that the piercing canal is completely covered with new skin.
The healing process of a vertical tongue piercing
The piercing almost always overflows, so we first give a longer piece of jewelry, which we exchange for a shorter one in about 1-2 months. Otherwise, there is a risk of frequent tripping over the jewelry and subsequent traumatization.
Sometimes it needs to be replaced several times during healing, so if you feel that the jewelry is becoming too long and is in the way, you can ask for it to be shortened.
When exchanging jewelry for a shorter one, the price of the jewelry is paid according to the current price list, the service is free if it is an initial healing process.
Piercing care
Oral hygiene: If you have a piercing in your mouth, use alcohol-free mouthwash and always rinse your mouth for about 15 seconds after eating. If this is not part of your daily dental hygiene, plain clean water (filtered, bottled or boiled) is sufficient. Take care of oral hygiene as it is important to speed up healing.
Restrictions after vertical tongue piercing
Drinking and diet: For the first 3-4 hours after the procedure, drink only water, cold tea or an iced still drink without sugar or alcohol. Then rinse your mouth. During the first 3-5 days, the tongue will swell, it may hurt and you will not be able to eat anything except soft food that should not be hot, bitter, sour, salty or colored.
Oral sex and kissing: During healing, especially the first 14 days, avoid oral sex and kissing. Then follow your feelings, it is best not to rush them, so as not to cause trauma.
Alcohol and smoking: We do not recommend drinking alcohol and smoking while the oral piercing is healing, as it can cause bleeding. If you are a smoker, you do not have to give up smoking, but try to limit it and rinse your mouth with clean water after smoking.
Problems with vertical tongue piercing
Problems ranging from minor to serious can occur after a vertical tongue piercing, it is important to contact the studio as soon as you feel a problem.

Severe swelling.
Erythema - redness.
